A night vision thermal add on is the same idea as a regular night vision add on (like the PARD 007) except that it converts your regular day rifle scope into a high end thermal rifle scope! Then take it off in seconds and you are back to a daytime scope.

2 main factors to consider when looking at a model -

mK rating (milliKelvin) – the smaller the number the better. Is a measure of the smallest temperature differences that can be measured by the device. For a long time 35mK was the leader but now we are seeing 20mK as state of the art with exceptional sensitivity

Resolution: the old classic pixel resolution. Clearly the larger the better. So 640x512 is going to give you a better view than 384x288

Objective size of your scope is also a factor, the larger the better.
