RCBS Dry Case Neck Lube
RCBS Dry Case Neck Lube is a mess-free, dry-style lubricant that makes case prep smoother without turning your bench into a sticky disaster. It reduces friction when sizing or expanding case necks so you don’t get that gritty drag or extra wear on your dies. Just a light dip or touch and your brass runs cleaner, easier, and more consistently through the prep process.
-Nathan (Technical Advisor)
The RCBS Dry Case Neck Lube is designed to make case preparation smoother, cleaner, and more efficient for reloaders. Unlike traditional liquid lubricants, it features a dry, mess‑free formula that is easy to apply and leaves no oily residue behind. This makes it an ideal choice for maintaining a clean reloading workspace while ensuring consistent case preparation.
Its dry formula prevents dirt and grit from adhering to cases, helping protect both brass and reloading equipment from unnecessary wear or damage. By reducing friction during preparation, the lube lowers the force required for common case‑prep operations, while also helping to extend the life of tools and dies.
Designed for use with the RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Centre, this lubricant is suitable for a range of processes including chamfering, deburring, primer pocket cleaning, military crimp removal, and flash hole deburring. Practical, reliable, and efficient, the RCBS Dry Case Neck Lube is an essential addition to any serious reloader’s toolkit.

- RCBS Dry Case Neck Lube
1. What is RCBS Dry Case Neck Lube used for?
It’s used to lubricate cartridge case necks during reloading and case preparation to reduce friction during resizing and expanding.
2. How do you apply it?
You typically dip the case neck into the dry lube or lightly apply it with a brush before resizing or case prep operations.
3. What is it made from?
It is commonly described as a dry mica-based lubricant designed for clean application without liquids.
4. Why use dry lube instead of liquid case lube?
Because it doesn’t attract dirt or grit, keeping cases and dies cleaner during preparation.
5. What case prep steps is it used for?
It’s often used during chamfering, deburring, primer pocket cleaning, and other brass prep tasks where friction occurs.
6. Does it help prevent stuck cases?
Yes, reducing friction during sizing helps lower the risk of cases sticking in dies.
7. Is it messy to use?
No, it’s designed specifically to be a clean, no-liquid, no-residue alternative to traditional lubes.
8. Can it be used with all calibres?
Yes, it’s generally used across a wide range of rifle and pistol brass during case prep.
9. Does it replace full case lubrication?
No, it’s mainly for neck and prep operations—full-length resizing usually still requires case body lubrication.
10. Why do reloaders bother with neck lubrication at all?
Because it reduces effort during expansion and sizing, improves smoothness, and helps extend die and brass life over repeated reloading cycles.
