What Is the MagnaSwitch System?

MagnaSwitch™ is Sparta’s magnetic quick-attach technology, designed to let you mount and detach rifles, optics, bipods, tripods, or accessories in seconds. 

Rather than fixed clamps or levers, the system uses rare-earth magnets as the locking force, combined with precision mechanical alignment. 

You fit a small adapter to the rifle or scope (or accessory). Then any MagnaSwitch‑compatible support can snap on securely, or be removed just as fast, without tools, while maintaining alignment and zero.

Q1: Will this adapter work on any rifle with sling studs?
Only if your rifle has two sling studs at the fore-end (dual sling stud setup). These studs should be spaced correctly and securely mounted in the stock.
If your rifle has just one front sling stud, this adapter won’t fit properly — you’ll need a different Spartan adapter designed for single-stud mounting.

Q2: What are “dual sling stud mounting points”?
This refers to rifles that have two sling swivel studs fitted side-by-side or in line on the underside of the stock’s fore-end. One is usually for the sling, the other for accessories (like a bipod).
The Spartan Classic Adapter spans both studs to provide a strong, stable base for mounting Picatinny gear or Spartan supports.

Q3: Can I mount non-Spartan accessories on the Picatinny rail?
Yes — the short integrated Picatinny section can accept compatible lights, lasers, or small accessories, as long as they fit the limited space.

Q4: Will the adapter hold under recoil?
Yes. With both studs engaged and the adapter properly installed using the included hardware, it offers strong resistance to shift, even under recoil or field conditions. The build quality (7075 aluminium) adds to its reliability.

Q5: Does this add much weight or bulk?
Not at all — it weighs just around 20 g, and the low-profile design keeps your rifle slim and streamlined.

Q6: How do I install it?
Use the included screws and optional gaskets/backing plates to bolt the adapter across your two front sling studs. Make sure it’s aligned with the rifle bore and torqued evenly for a secure hold. Once installed, it stays put — you can attach and detach Spartan supports instantly via the MagnaSwitch or Disc-Lok system.

Q7: What is not included or compatible?
