Designed for precision at mid to long distances, this 6–24× is part of Arken's lightweight hunter EPL4 series. The rifle scope combines an illuminated MOA reticle on the First Focal Plane with a rugged 30 mm tube. Clear optics and smooth adjustments
Ultra-clear optics with First Focal Plane MOA reticle and illumination for long-range precision.
Great for hunting, range and tactical use — smooth zoom range with crisp dawn/dusk visibility
Illumination + FFP reticle = precise aiming at any magnification.
Toolless, user-friendly capped windage turret that ensures easy adjustment for set-and-forget operation
- Long range hunting or tactical use
- Clear daylight optics with low-light illumination
- Precise MOA reticle all the way through magnification
- 30 mm tube for durable adjustment margin
- Smooth 6–24× zoom action
- Ideal for .22s, airguns, rimfires and centrefire rifles
First Focal Plane (FFP) keeps the reticle proportional to magnification; this means your marks for hold-overs and wind calls stay accurate regardless of zoom. Combined with illumination, it gives clear, usable reference points from 6× all the way to 24×.

- Arken Optics EPL4 6-24x50 FFP VPR Illuminated Rifle Scope
Q: What type of shooter is the Arken EPL4 designed for?
A: The EPL4 is designed for shooters who want serious precision capability without jumping to ultra-premium price tiers. It suits long-range target shooting, hunting at extended distances, and shooters who actively use holdovers and turret adjustments.
Q: Why choose a 6–24× magnification range?
A: A 6–24× scope is built for mid-to-long range work. Lower magnification keeps targets manageable at medium distance, while 24× provides the resolution needed for precise aiming and spotting impacts at longer ranges. This range is especially popular for precision rifles and range shooting.
Q: What does First Focal Plane (FFP) mean in real use?
A: In a First Focal Plane scope, the reticle scales with magnification. This means all reticle markings remain accurate for ranging, holdover and wind holds at any magnification, not just one specific zoom setting.
Q: Who benefits most from an FFP reticle?
A: FFP is ideal for shooters who:
-
Use reticle holds rather than dialing constantly
-
Shoot at varying distances
-
Want consistent reticle measurements across magnification
It’s especially valuable for long-range and precision shooting.
Q: Is FFP harder to use than SFP?
A: FFP scopes can feel busier at higher magnification and finer at low power, but once familiar, they offer greater flexibility. Shooters who rely on reticle math or shoot varied distances often prefer FFP over SFP.
Q: What does the illuminated MOA reticle add?
A: Illumination improves reticle visibility in low-light conditions such as early morning, dusk, or shaded targets. It does not overpower the image but helps keep the reticle defined against darker backgrounds.
Q: Why use an MOA reticle instead of MIL?
A: MOA is popular with shooters who think in inches and yards, particularly in hunting and traditional precision setups. It pairs naturally with MOA turrets for intuitive adjustments and corrections.
Q: What is the advantage of the 30 mm tube?
A: A 30 mm tube offers:
-
Greater internal adjustment range
-
Increased mechanical strength
-
More reliable tracking
This is especially important on scopes intended for dialing elevation at longer distances.
Q: How does the 50 mm objective lens help?
A: The 50 mm objective gathers more light, improving image brightness and clarity. This is most noticeable at higher magnifications and during lower-light shooting conditions.
Q: Are the turrets designed for frequent dialing?
A: Yes. The EPL4 is built for active turret use, allowing shooters to dial elevation and windage with confidence. It’s suitable for shooters who regularly adjust for distance rather than relying solely on reticle holds.
Q: Is this scope suitable for hunting?
A: Yes. While it is a precision-oriented scope, many hunters use it successfully for longer-range hunting where precise shot placement and confidence at distance are critical.
Q: Is the EPL4 suitable for air rifles or rimfire rifles?
A: It can be used on air rifles and rimfire rifles, particularly for long-range rimfire or FAC air rifles. However, its size, magnification and feature set are primarily aimed at precision and long-range shooting, rather than lightweight setups.
Q: How rugged is the scope for field use?
A: The EPL4 is built on a robust aluminium chassis, is water-resistant, fog-proof, and designed to withstand regular outdoor use. It’s intended for real-world shooting environments, not just bench use.
Q: Is this a heavy scope?
A: Compared to compact hunting scopes, yes — but this is expected for a 6–24×50 FFP optic. The weight reflects its magnification range, glass quality, and mechanical durability.
Q: What’s included with the scope?
A: The scope is supplied with protective lens covers and standard accessories as specified by the manufacturer. Mounts are not included unless stated separately.
