HIGH - BKL call these Medium, but with 24 mm base height / 39 mm centre height, they are effectively a High mount compared to most brands. There’s no universal standard for mount heights. Always buy using the actual measurement, not the name.

Perfect for air rifles and rimfires with standard 9–11mm dovetail rails. The BKL 30o is a precision-engineered 2-piece mount for 30mm scope tubes, featuring:
- Radiused inner rings to prevent scope marking
- BKL’s self-aligning clamp system grips 3/8” & 11mm dovetails evenly
- No lapping required – true, stress-free installation

Distance base to ring center = 39mm. Ring diameter = 15mm
Scope measured with outer diameter (no lens) 64mm bell = 32mm radius
32 – 15 = 17mm needed under bell
Mount offers 22-24mm → ~5-7mm clearance

Q1 — What size scope tube do these rings fit?
For 30 mm body tube scopes only.
Q2 — What rail type?
Designed for 9–11 mm dovetail rails (air rifles, rimfires, some target rifles). Not for Picatinny or Weaver.
Q3 — Are these really “Medium”?
Not by most standards, the actual numbers tell the truth: Lower number is from base block. Higher measure is from clamp bottom.

That’s taller than many brands’ “High.”
Always buy by measured height — not by whatever name the manufacturer prints. There’s no industry-wide definition for Low/Medium/High.
Q4 — What clearance will I get?
Take your objective lens diameter, halve it for the radius, and compare. Example:

60 mm objective = 30 mm radius

30 mm tube = 15 mm radius

Clearance needed under bell = 30 − 15 = 15 mm

This mount gives 24 mm → ~7-9 mm spare clearance
That’s a healthy margin — enough for 56–60 mm objectives even over chunky barrels or shrouds.
Q5 — Do they need lapping?
No. BKL’s clamping system self-aligns, so lapping is not required.
Q6 — Are they strong enough for centrefire?
They’re made from high-grade aluminium, black anodised. Strong and precise — but always check rail width (must be true 9–11 mm dovetail) and ensure torque is set correctly.
Q7 — Will they mark my scope tube?
The rings are radiused to spread clamping pressure and reduce marking risk.
Q8 — What’s the warranty?
Supplied with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Clearance Guide (simple rules)

Measure your scope’s objective outer diameter.

Divide by 2 for radius. Subtract the tube radius (15 mm for 30 mm tube).

Result = minimum clearance needed.

Compare with mount base → ring bottom = 22-24 mm.
Example:

60 mm objective → needs 15 mm clearance

Mount gives 24 mm → ≈ 7-9 mm spare
This model will comfortably clear large 56–60 mm objectives on most dovetail rifles.

We use DPD, Royal Mail, TNT, and UPS courier services for all our UK and international orders. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with your unique tracking number.

Pre-Order Items
Pre-order items are typically out-of-stock or in limited supply. Purchasing a pre-order secures your item, and it will be dispatched within 24 hours of restock where possible. Check the product page for estimated restock dates. These dates may change, so staying in touch is advised.
International Delivery & Taxes
If your shipping address is outside the UK, you may incur import duties or taxes upon arrival in your country. These charges are your responsibility. Customs regulations vary, so please check with your local customs office. Some packages may be opened for inspection.
