Don’t rely on the word “Low.” In BKL’s lineup the 303 is lower than their 300/301, but compared to most brands it’s closer to a Medium. There’s no industry-wide standard for ring height, so always go by the actual measurement: 17 mm base to ring bottom / 32 mm to centre.

What the Specs Mean
These rings are designed for 30mm tube scopes and will work with most side-focus or AO scopes up to 50mm objective size. The 17mm base height gives a 32mm centre height, offering enough clearance for most barrels without raising your sightline excessively.
The double-strap design increases surface area and clamping strength—ideal for resisting movement on recoiling rifles. BKL’s self-aligning clamp system ensures a true, even grip on dovetails from 9–11mm without the need for shimming or lapping.

Measure your scope’s objective bell diameter

Divide by 2 to get the radius

Subtract 15mm (half the ring diameter)

The result is the minimum mount height needed (base to ring bottom)

Example:
45mm bell = 22.5mm radius
22.5 – 15 = 7.5mm minimum needed
This mount gives 17mm → ~9.5mm of clearance

Q1 — What size scope tube do these rings fit?
They fit 30 mm scope tubes.
Q2 — What rail do they fit?
Designed for 9–11 mm dovetail rails (air rifles, rimfires, etc.). Not suitable for Picatinny or Weaver.
Q3 — Are these really ‘Low’ rings?
BKL labels them “Low” because they sit below the taller BKL-300/301 models in their own range. Compared to most other brands, the 304 actually measures more like a Medium.
???? Always buy by actual height measurements — not the manufacturer’s “low/medium/high” tag, because there is no universal engineering standard across brands.

For a 60 mm objective (30 mm radius), you’ll have about 2 mm clearance with these rings. Always add 1–2 mm safety margin.

No. BKL’s self-aligning clamp system means lapping isn’t required.
Q6 — Can I use these on centrefire rifles?
Only if the rifle has a standard 9–11 mm dovetail. Not for wider dovetails (e.g. some BSA/CZ/Tikka), Picatinny, Weaver, or interrupted rails.

High-grade aluminium, matte black anodised. Approx. 84 g per pair.
Q8 — Will the rings damage my scope tube?
The inner profile is radiused to protect the tube and spread clamping force evenly.
