Eberlestock Phantom Pack - Dry Earth
“The Eberlestock Phantom Pack is an outstanding modular system designed for shooters and hunters who need flexibility in the field. With its integrated rifle scabbard and expandable storage options, it transitions easily from a streamlined patrol pack to a full load-bearing setup. Durable materials, smart pocket placement, and Eberlestock’s proven comfort make the Phantom a dependable choice for long days outdoors.” - Thomas.
The Eberlestock Phantom Pack in Multicam is purpose-built as the quintessential sniper pack, offering outstanding adaptability in the field. Its removable Tactical Weapon Scabbard allows the bag and harness to detach, enabling the scabbard to be paired with the included buttcover to form a dedicated drag bag with its own drag loop. Designed as a front-loader, it features multiple storage pockets, internal and external MOLLE webbing for full customisation, and a fold-down internal shelf to divide the main compartment for organised load management.
Updated with a padded hip belt and harness for improved comfort and support, the Phantom also includes a stowable rain fly for reliable all-weather protection. With a 42.6L (2,600 cu in) capacity and weighing 9 lb 6 oz, it measures 24.5" x 19" x 10.5", while the scabbard measures 34" x 10" x 3" with a 26" circumference opening, making it a highly capable and mission-ready pack in durable Multicam.

Can the rifle scabbard be separated from the main backpack?
Yes. One of the standout features of the Phantom pack is its modular design. You can completely detach the main pack and harness from the weapon scabbard. This allows you to use the backpack on its own, or you can combine the standalone scabbard with the included top/buttcover to convert it into a fully functional, standalone drag bag.
Is the main compartment top-loading or front-loading?
The Phantom is a front-loading pack. The entire front panel unzips to flip open like a duffel bag, giving you immediate and wide open access to all of your gear stored inside. This layout makes it much easier to organize and grab equipment quickly compared to a traditional top loading pack where you have to dig down from the top.
Can I customize the interior organization?
Absolutely. The interior of the pack features multiple rings of tuck pockets of varying sizes to keep smaller gear secure. It also includes an internal, fold down shelf divider. You can leave this shelf folded down to create one giant main compartment, or flip it up to separate the bag into upper and lower chambers. There is also internal MOLLE webbing for attaching custom pouches.
How does the pack handle hydration systems?
The pack is designed to hold ample hydration for extended field use. It features dedicated side pockets and sleeves capable of holding up to two 3 litre hydration kits or multiple smaller bladders, routing the hoses cleanly so you can drink on the move.
Does the pack come with weather protection?
Yes, the Phantom comes with a built in, pull out rain cover tucked away into a bottom pocket. If you are caught in a sudden downpour, you can quickly deploy the rain fly to cover the entire pack and keep your gear dry.
How do I clean and wash this backpack?
Eberlestock recommends hand washing the pack rather than using a washing machine. The best method is to submerge the pack in clean water or hose it down in the driveway, using your hands to clean off dirt. Avoid using harsh laundry soaps, detergents, or fabric softeners. Always let the pack hang dry completely in the shade, and do not expose it to a mechanical heat dryer.
