How does the magnetic lid open, and will it stay out of the way while I’m glassing?
The main binocular pouch features a magnetic forward pull access lid. This design allows you to quickly and quietly open the pack using just one hand by pulling forward. Once opened, the lid folds completely down out of the way, giving you unobstructed access to your optics while scouting.
What makes this bino pack "modular"?
The Recon pack is built on a chest rig platform featuring low profile, MOLLE compatible wings and a rear panel. This allows you to customize and scale your setup depending on the hunt. You can securely attach specialized Eberlestock Recon accessories, such as a rangefinder pouch, bear spray holster, utility pocket, or handwarmer, to tailor the rig to your exact needs.
Will this harness system interfere with my hunting backpack straps?
No. The Recon utilizes a low profile, adjustable forward pull shoulder harness made with breathable 3D mesh. The straps are designed to lay flat against your body, distributing the weight of your optics evenly across your shoulders and back without creating bulky pressure points under the straps of a heavier multi day backpack.
Are my binoculars safe from accidentally falling out if the lid is open?
Yes. The pack comes equipped with two integrated internal bino tethers. You can clip these quick detach bungees directly to your binoculars, ensuring that even if you lean forward or accidentally drop your optics while the magnetic lid is open, they remain safely secured to the harness.
What kind of built-in storage does the pack have without adding extra pouches?
Even without adding modular accessories, the core pack features standalone storage. It includes a large, easy access front zippered pocket that is perfect for small tools, tags, or a phone, alongside dual side stretch pockets that can hold wind indicators, mouth calls, or lens cloths.
How should I clean and wash the Recon Bino Pack after a muddy hunt?
To preserve the fabric integrity and avoid damaging any internal components, Eberlestock recommends submerging the pack in clean water or hosing it down in your driveway/shower, and then letting it hang dry completely. Avoid using harsh washing detergents, fabric softeners, or putting the pack in a washing machine or dryer.

Couriers
We use DPD, Royal Mail, TNT, and UPS courier services for all our UK and international orders. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with your unique tracking number.
In-Store Items
These are items we have in stock and aim to dispatch within 1–2 working days. During busy periods, this may be delayed slightly. If you'd prefer to collect your item in person, please contact us in advance to arrange. Collection orders must be paid for beforehand.
Pre-Order Items
Pre-order items are typically out-of-stock or in limited supply. Purchasing a pre-order secures your item, and it will be dispatched within 24 hours of restock where possible. Check the product page for estimated restock dates. These dates may change, so staying in touch is advised.
International Delivery & Taxes
If your shipping address is outside the UK, you may incur import duties or taxes upon arrival in your country. These charges are your responsibility. Customs regulations vary, so please check with your local customs office. Some packages may be opened for inspection.

DPD Shipments & PIN Code Delivery
We have now introduced DPD Pin Code verification for all orders shipped via DPD. You will receive a PIN via email and text.
A valid email and mobile number must be provided at checkout. Emails will come from Riviera House 3PL. Please check spam/junk folders if not received.
Failure to present your PIN to the delivery driver will result in a failed delivery and rescheduling may be required.
