Adjustable scope mounts allow for various adjustments, making them useful for precision shooting and compensating for range or elevation changes.

Running out of elevation is one of the most common reasons for needing an adjustable mount.

The least likely reason for this is a faulty scope though ironically it is one of the most common “faulty scope” return reasons! Normally it is related to the combination of scope, mounts and rifle in use and how it has been adjusted.

If there is no defect or set up error then the easiest way to solve the problem is with adjustable mounts.
