Spuhr ISMS SP-4616 Ø34mm Tube 6 MIL (34 mm High) Cantilever Picatinny Scope Mount
"The Spuhr ISMS 34mm cantilever mount with 6 MIL provides the perfect balance of rise and offset for tactical and PRS applications. Its one-piece construction offers unmatched rigidity and repeatable zero, while the cantilever design keeps your optic in the ideal shooting position. A premium choice for shooters who demand accuracy and durability." - Thomas.
Spuhr ISMS SP-4616 34mm High (38mm) 0 MOA Cantilever Picatinny Mount
The SP-4616 is designed for use on long-range flat top rifles with MIL-STD-1913 or STANAG 4694 rails, and has an absolute co-witness with back-up iron sights.
The SP-4616 will fit most 34 mm scope tubes except for scopes with extended erector housings, such as the US Optics TPAL/EREK and Nightforce BEAST.
Absolute co-witness most clip-on NV units on flat top platforms. Allows the scope to be mounted 40 mm/1.57” farther forward than with a non-cantilever mount.
The mount is shipped with a manual and a “wedge” leveling key.

Spuhr ISMS SP-4616 34mm High (38mm) 0 MOA Cantilever Picatinny Mount
Extremely sturdy scope mount, with possibility to attach multiple optical accessories directly to the mount. Built-in level. 45-degree split of the rings provides unobstructed view of the knobs.
The "Ideal Scope Mount System" has interface surfaces directly on the mount, making it possible to mount accessories either by Picatinny rails or as direct interfaces. A selection of interfaces for popular accessories are available, and others can be made to customer specifications.
The mount is machined from 7075 T651 billet aluminum, as this material is lightweight and extremely strong, even outperforming construction steel in several aspects. Our fasteners are 12.9 Grade steel with zinc-nickel corrosion resistance, and they come pre-waxed to ensure proper torque values.
Innovative solution for leveling the scope, using the included tool/gauge to index the scope correctly to the mount and gun. This is very important since if the scope is not properly indexed there will be an unintended lateral shift of the point of impact whenever the elevation is adjusted.
How does built-in elevation cant affect mechanical zero optimization?
Integrated cant shifts the optic’s internal adjustment range upward relative to the bore, allowing the erector system to operate closer to its optical center when zeroed at longer distances. This reduces internal spring tension imbalance.
Does MOA/MIL improve tracking consistency during elevation adjustments?
When the erector assembly operates closer to its mechanical center, adjustment tracking tends to remain more consistent because the springs apply more uniform pressure across the adjustment range.
Can MOA/MIL reduce optical distortion at long distances?
Keeping the erector system near its optical center reduces lens edge usage, which can slightly improve image clarity and reduce aberrations during extreme elevation adjustments.
Does forward offset improve shooting ergonomics?
Forward offset allows proper eye relief on rifles with short receiver rails while maintaining a natural head position and consistent cheek weld.
How does the mount handle uneven rail contact surfaces?
The rigid base bridges minor surface irregularities across multiple rail slots, helping maintain alignment even if individual slots are slightly imperfect.
Does ring spacing influence scope durability?
Wider ring spacing distributes recoil forces more evenly along the scope tube and reduces localized stress near the erector housing.
Can mounting position influence elevation travel usage?
Moving the mount forward or backward does not change total elevation travel but can affect shooter comfort and consistency, indirectly influencing long-range precision.
How does torque consistency affect alignment?
Uniform torque across mounting screws ensures even clamping pressure and prevents subtle tilting of the mount body.
Can repeated recoil cycles loosen mounting screws?
Proper torque and screw coatings minimize loosening, but periodic inspection is recommended.
Does the mount maintain alignment after temperature changes?
Uniform expansion across the mount body maintains consistent ring alignment under varying environmental conditions.
How does the mount prevent scope tube slippage?
High friction ring surfaces combined with even torque distribution prevent axial movement of the scope under recoil.
Can over-tightening affect scope tracking?
Excessive ring compression can distort the scope tube and potentially affect erector movement and tracking accuracy.
How does ring alignment influence optical performance?
Precise alignment prevents internal stress that could shift lenses slightly and degrade image quality or tracking precision.
What installation issue most often affects long-range performance?
The most common issue is uneven ring torque which can introduce scope tube stress and reduce tracking consistency.
