Napier Power Airgun Cleaning Patches .177 to .25 – Lint-Free Precision Bore Care
Tight-fitting, highly absorbent patches designed specifically for air rifle barrels
Rifle Clean patches for use with Pull Through Kit, Pack of 100 pre cut.
Airgun barrels are tighter than firearm bores, so standard patches often pass through without properly contacting the rifling. These patches are sized to grip the bore correctly, meaning they actually remove debris rather than just pushing it around.
The lint-free material matters more than most people realise—loose fibres left in the barrel can affect pellet flight and accuracy. With these, what goes through the barrel comes out clean, with no residue left behind.
They’re also absorbent enough to carry cleaning fluid evenly, so you use less product while getting better results.

1. What is the difference between the Rifle Clean Material and the Power Air Gun Patches?
The main difference is convenience and customization. The Power Air Gun Patches are pre-cut and ready to use immediately with a pull-through kit. The Rifle Clean Material comes on a continuous roll, allowing you to cut specific sizes for different tasks, such as with the pull through kit, wrapping around a cleaning jag, a wire brush, or even using it as a general polishing cloth.
2. Can these patches be used for both air rifles and traditional firearms?
Yes. While the "Power Air Gun" branding highlights their popularity with airgunners, the material itself is "Rifle Clean," which is designed for all rifled barrels. Because the material is significantly thinner than traditional cotton cloth, it can be easily wrapped around brushes or jags to fit various calibers without getting stuck in the bore.
3. Do I need to use cleaning chemicals with these patches?
While the patches are highly absorbent and can pick up some dry debris, they work best when used with a dedicated cleaner, such as Napier Gun Cleaner or Bore Solvent. The material is designed to hold onto these liquids and "scrub" the rifling to remove lead and powder residue more effectively than a standard cloth.
4. Why is this material better than using old rags or standard cotton patches?
Napier’s material is uniquely textured to be "self-amalgamating." This means it grips itself when wrapped around a tool, preventing it from slipping off or bunching up inside the barrel. It is also lint-free, ensuring that no stray fibers are left behind in your action or bore, which can happen with household rags.
5. How many cleans can I expect to get from one pack or roll?
The Power Air Gun Patches typically come in packs of 65 or 100, giving you a set number of uses. The 14-metre Rifle Clean roll is much more economical for frequent shooters; depending on how much you cut for each session, a single roll can provide enough material for well over 100 thorough cleans.
6. Can I use these patches for more than just the inside of the barrel?
Absolutely. The Rifle Clean Material is soft enough to be used on the exterior of your gun. It is excellent for wiping down metalwork to remove fingerprints and moisture before storage, or for applying a thin layer of protective oil to the stock and barrel.
7. Is the material safe for all types of barrel finishes?
Yes. The material is non-abrasive and designed specifically for high-precision rifling. It will not scratch or damage blued, stainless, or cerakoted finishes, making it safe for even the most expensive competition rifles.
8. Do these work with all pull-through cleaning kits?
While they are designed to work perfectly with the Napier Pull Through Kit, the material is universal. As long as your cleaning tool has a loop or a jag to hold the patch, you can use these patches effectively.
