What Problems Does the ATP97 Solve?
This isn’t just a scope mount — it’s a zeroing system for shooters who’ve hit the limits of their optic’s internal adjustment. The ATP97 solves common problems like:
My scope won’t zero at long range.
Modern air rifles and rimfires often shoot flatter than expected, and turret travel can run out before you reach your zero point — especially at 50+ yards. The ATP97 gives you up to 45 MOA of vertical adjustment **without touching your turrets**, so your scope’s reticle remains optically centred.
I’ve run out of elevation clicks on my scope
Instead of shimming the rear ring (which can stress the tube), the ATP97 lets you **dial in mechanical elevation** to bring your zero back into range — safely and precisely.
My rail is too low — my scope objective touches the barrel.
With **height adjustment between 22mm and 23.8mm**, you can fine-tune the clearance under your scope to suit objectives **up to 50mm** on most rifles — with no guesswork.
My scope keeps sliding under recoil.
The included **removable arrestor pin** locks the mount into your dovetail rail, preventing scope creep on high-powered springers and magnum rifles.
Dimensions

When Should You Use the ATP97?
* You're **zeroing at long ranges** (40–100 yards+) and running out of turret travel.
* You're trying to keep your scope’s **reticle optically centred** for better image quality.
* Your rifle has **barrel droop** or a low rail, and shimming is not an option.
* You're fitting a **larger scope** and need that little bit more clearance.
* You want a **rock-solid solution** with repeatable precision and no makeshift mods.
Fit Recommendations:
* Ideal for **high-powered air rifles** (FAC-rated PCPs or magnum springers).
* Perfect for **precision rimfire rifles** used in target or long-range pest control.
* Suitable for 1" scopes up to **50mm objective lenses** on most rifle profiles.
* Works best with **flat or stepped barrels** that offer objective clearance room.
Calculating scope to rifle body clearance
The way you calculate the clearance is by halving the overall OUTSIDE diameter of your rifle scopes objective lens and then deducting half the rifle scopes body tube diameter.
For scopes with a 1 inch diameter body tube this means deducting 12.7mm.
Note we say OUTSIDE diameter - this means NOT the lens diameter, you need to measure the whole outer casing diameter.
The result gives you the minimum "saddle" dimension required - the measure from base of mount to bottom of the ring - the 'A' dimension that is shown above (23.8 max mm)
The amount the saddle dimension is greater than the figure you have calculated is the amount of clearance your scopes objective will be clear of your rifles body. The saddle on these mounts is upto 23.8mm
Worked Example -
1) A scope has an outer case measurement of 65mm (a common outer measure on 50mm AO scopes)
2) 65 divided by 2 = 32.5.
3) 32.5 minus 12.7 = 19.8mm
4) So the mount must have a saddle measure (base of mount to bottom of the ring) greater than 19.8mm or else it will ground out on the rifle body.
5) So in this case with 22-23.8mm we have good but not too excessive room.
Keep in mind that flip up lens caps may add 2mm or so.
