"Valdada might not be the first name that springs to mind—but once you try their optics, you won’t forget it. The Mini G2 punches well above its weight, built in collaboration with some of the best in the business. It’s ideal for PRS or ELR shooters who want serious performance in a more compact package. Crystal-clear glass, solid turret feel, true tracking, and rock-solid zero stop—this scope is ready for precision work at long range. Underrated? Definitely. Worth a closer look? 100%." - Thomas (Online Sales Associate & Product Specialist).

DESCRIPTION

The 4.5-28x50 took almost 2 years to complete. It was intended for multiple applications. The new GAP reticle makes it a premiere candidate for PRS competition being designed with substantial contributions from PRS shooters, offering multiple points of holdover for wind and bullet drop, measurements and ranging, as fine as 0.1 Mil spacing.

The mechanics are perfectly tensioned with no slap whatsoever, and leave no doubt or confusion when the shooter dials, giving maximum confidence needed to win. The vertical range of adjustment: 35 Mils. The 50mm objective is a great compromise for low light optical performance and weight reduction, the scope is 12 oz lighter than the big brother G2.

We make this new model with a 34mm tube, a large fast focus ocular and 11 position illumination rheostat. The reticle centre dot illuminates and it has 0.1 MRAD click adjustments with perfectly sized knobs.

All these features also make this model very attractive for hunting in difficult light conditions, in very rugged terrain and in extreme temperatures. Take a look at other top shelf American and European brands and see how much you save with this one while getting Superior glass and the best precision mechanics!

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

Valdada Mini G2 4.5-28x50 FFP Illuminated MRAD 0.1 MRAD 34mm Zero Stop Rifle Scope.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION(S)

How does the GAP reticle improve real-world ranging and corrections?

The GAP reticle uses fine 0.1 MRAD spacing, allowing extremely precise ranging and holdovers. This lets shooters estimate target distance and wind corrections with much finer resolution than reticles using 0.2 or 0.5 MRAD markings, which is especially valuable for small or distant targets.

How reliable is the zero stop for returning to a hard zero?

The zero stop is mechanical, not electronic. Once set, it physically prevents the turret from rotating below your zero point, ensuring repeatable and fast return to zero even after dialing large elevation changes.

How useful is illumination in real shooting conditions?

The illuminated center dot is designed primarily for low-light shooting (dawn, dusk, shadowed targets). It helps you pick up the aiming point without washing out the reticle.

How well do the turrets track when dialing large elevation changes?

Tracking is very consistent, meaning that if you dial up several MRADs and then return to zero, the scope reliably returns to the same point of impact. This is critical for long-range and PRS-style shooting.

How well does the scope handle extreme long-range dialing?

The internal adjustment system and large tube allow extensive dialing without optical instability, enabling shooters to engage very distant targets without relying entirely on holdover.

Can the reticle be used effectively without dialing?

Yes. The dense MRAD grid allows shooters to hold for both elevation and wind with great precision, making it ideal for rapid target engagements where dialing is too slow.

How forgiving is the eyebox at high magnification?

For a high-magnification optic, the eyebox is relatively forgiving. This means small head movements don’t cause the image to black out, reducing fatigue during long shooting sessions.

Does image quality degrade noticeably at maximum magnification?

Like all high-power optics, there may be some minor edge softness or chromatic aberration at extreme zoom, but center-field clarity remains strong and usable for precision shooting.

How well does the scope perform in low-light conditions?

The combination of quality glass and a large objective lens gives good light transmission. Contrast and target separation remain usable into dusk and early night conditions.

Does heavy recoil affect zero or tracking?

The internal mechanics are designed to handle recoil from high-power rifles. Once zeroed, it should not shift unless the rifle or mounts move.

How does the 34 mm tube benefit real shooting?

The larger tube allows more internal adjustment travel and helps maintain optical stability when dialing far from zero.

Does dialing near the extremes cause optical shift or distortion?

The scope is designed to keep the optical image centered and stable even near the edges of its adjustment range, though slight optical changes are normal for any precision optic.

How durable is the illumination control system?

The illumination system uses a physical rotary dial rather than a fragile digital interface, making it reliable in cold, wet, or gloved use.

How easy is it to adjust settings under stress or with gloves?

The turrets and illumination dial are large and well-textured, making them easy to operate even with cold hands or gloves.

Is this scope suitable for extreme-range shooting?

Yes. The fine reticle, large adjustment range, and optical clarity make it capable for long-range and even extreme-range engagements when paired with the right rifle and ammunition.

Does the scope favor dialing or holding?

It supports both equally well. Shooters can dial elevation for precise known-distance shots or use the reticle for faster engagements.

How much does optical quality affect wind reading through this scope?

Good contrast and clarity make it easier to see mirage, trace, and vegetation movement—key indicators for reading wind at long range.

What kind of shooter benefits most from this optic?

This scope is best suited for serious precision shooters—PRS competitors, tactical shooters, and long-range enthusiasts—who demand reliable tracking, fine reticle control, and strong optical performance.
