Vector Optics Veyron GenII 6-24x44 HD CTR FFP SF IR 30mm Rifle Scope
Compact FFP precision scope with usable 6-24x magnification, HD glass and accurate holdovers for airgun or rifle use
The Vector Optics Veyron GenII 6–24x44 is built for precision shooting, featuring a first focal plane VVE-1 MIL reticle with a 0.08 MIL illuminated floating dot and Christmas tree pattern for rapid corrections. Its LaREE HD glass and fully multi-coated lenses deliver bright, sharp images, while 1/10 MIL turrets with crisp clicks and a 30mm tube with up to 30 MIL elevation ensure precise adjustments. A six-level illumination system and turret lock function enhance performance and reliability in all conditions.
The Vector Optics Veyron GenII 6–24x44 HD CTR FFP Rifle Scope is designed for shooters seeking precision and consistency at extended ranges without bulk or length
It features a first focal plane VVE-1 MIL etched glass reticle with a 0.08 MIL illuminated floating dot and a Christmas tree pattern, allowing for rapid holdovers and quick follow-up corrections which matters if you regularly change zoom while shooting
The 6–24x magnification range provides excellent flexibility for engaging targets at varying distances with confidence.
Optical performance is enhanced by upgraded LaREE HD glass and fully multi-coated lenses, delivering brighter, sharper images with improved contrast over the previous generation. This ensures clear target definition even in challenging lighting conditions, while the six-level illumination system maintains reticle visibility without overpowering the sight picture.
Built for precision adjustment, the scope incorporates 1/10 MIL turrets with crisp, audible clicks for accurate and repeatable dialing.
The 30mm tube offers up to 30 MIL of elevation travel, supporting long-range shooting requirements, while a turret lock function on elevation and windage prevents unintentional changes in the field.
Despite its capability, the scope maintains a compact 277 mm design, making it well suited to flat top and PCP platforms where performance and handling must go hand in hand.
This scope is especially good for:
- PCP air rifles used for precision shooting
- Rimfire target rifles
- Longer-range airgun pest control where legal and appropriate
- Shooters who use holdovers instead of fixed magnification shooting
- Compact rifle builds where a full-size optic feels oversized
- Users wanting FFP functionality without jumping to heavier competition optics
Overall, the compact format makes it especially attractive for PCP air rifles, rimfires, and lighter centrefire setups where weight and balance matter just as much as optical performance.

Is this a good scope for PCP air rifles?
Yes. The compact size, side focus adjustment and FFP reticle make it well suited to PCP air rifles used for precision shooting at varying distances.
Is this a good scope for HFT or target shooting?
For shooters wanting higher magnification precision, yes. The FFP reticle allows consistent holdovers across the zoom range, which can help with distance changes.
What is the advantage of an FFP rifle scope?
A first focal plane reticle keeps its holdover markings accurate at all magnifications, making range compensation more consistent.
Is this better than an SFP scope for varying distances?
If you regularly change magnification and use reticle holdovers, FFP is often the more practical choice. If you always shoot at one magnification, SFP may be simpler.
Is this a good compact high magnification rifle scope?
Yes. It offers 6-24x magnification in a shorter, lighter format than many traditional precision scopes.
Can this be used for rimfire target shooting?
Yes, provided you use suitable 30mm mounts for your rifle’s rail system.
Does this fit my air rifle?
Yes, if you use the correct 30mm mounts for your rail type. Check whether your rifle has 9–11mm dovetail or Picatinny/Weaver rails.
Is the reticle accurate at all magnifications?
Yes. This is a First Focal Plane (FFP) scope, so reticle subtensions stay accurate throughout the zoom range.
Is 6x too much for close shooting?
For short-range reactive shooting, yes. For deliberate precision work, 6x is generally fine.
Is this good for long-range shooting?
For compact precision setups, yes. For extreme long-range specialist shooting, some users may prefer larger objectives and greater elevation range.
