Hawke Tactical 1" 9-11mm Dovetail Rifle Scope Mount Rings - HIGH
Hawke 1inch 2 Piece Tactical Match Mount 9-11mm - High
If you’ve got a 1‑inch scope tube and want decent objective lens clearance, these mounts offer a high profile that helps avoid the rifle body grounding your scope. Stylish, strong, and sturdy—these rings bring performance without looking overly bulky.
- Triple Torx Screws Hold Your Scope Firmly In Place
- Internal Cushion Prevents Marking & Damage
- Matte Black Anodised High Grade Aluminium
Looks
-
A high-profile, clean aesthetic: matte‑black aluminium at elevated height for larger objectives.
-
Two-piece design ensures ease of mounting, balance, and alignment.
-
Internal cushioning to protect scope finish, and recoil stop pins to prevent shift under recoil.
-
The high rings provide about 17 mm base-to-ring‑bottom height (or equivalent centre clearance when factoring tube radius) — enough for many scopes, but just tight for very large objectives on flat rails.

Q1: What size objective scopes will these mounts fit without touching the rifle?
These rings have a 30 mm base-to-centre height, meaning you have 30 mm of vertical space from the top of your rail to the centre of your scope tube.
To check if your scope will clear the rifle:
-
Measure the outer diameter of your scope’s objective bell — not just the lens size
-
Divide by 2 to get the radius
-
If it’s under 30 mm, the scope will clear the rifle on a flat rail
Example:
-
A scope with a 59 mm outer objective diameter = 29.5 mm radius → ✅ Fits with approx. 0.5 mm clearance
-
A 60 mm outer objective = 30 mm radius → ❌ Will likely make contact – not suitable on a flat rail
⚠️ Important: Always go by the scope’s outer objective housing diameter, not just the lens size.
For example, a 50 mm AO (adjustable objective) scope often has a much thicker casing than a standard 50 mm lens scope and may exceed 59 mm overall diameter.
Q2: Will using a raised base or elevated rail allow larger objectives to fit?
Yes — a raised base increases the effective height, giving extra clearance. So if your objective is larger than what the 17 mm clearance supports on a flat rail, pairing these rings with a riser or elevated dovetail will help avoid contact.
Q3: Will the recoil stop pin help maintain zero?
Absolutely. The retractable recoil‑stop pin ensures the rings don’t shift backward under recoil—or when using powerful springs—helping retain zero between shots.
Q4: Do the rings scratch the scope body?
No—internal cushion tape lines the inside of the rings. This helps prevent marks or abrasions when you mount or torque the rings.
Q5: How strong are the fastenings?
They use double hex / Torx screws that provide even clamping force. Proper torque (not overtightened) ensures scope stays secure under recoil.
Q6: Are these rings suitable for air rifles, rimfire, or large objectives?
Yes—if your scope’s objective is within the clearance calculation (as above). Common medium‑large scopes will fit. For very large, heavy objectives, though, a higher ring or riser might still be needed.
