Hawke Precision Steel 34mm 2 Piece Weaver Scope Rings - High
Hawke Precision Steel 34 mm 2‑Piece High Weaver & Picatinny Scope Mount Rings are rugged steel mounts with quick‑release clamps for tool‑free removal.
Are High profile right for you?
High profile positions the scope higher to provide additional clearance for larger objective housings or to clear rifle features, irons sights, magazines etc. Always confirm fit using the scope’s outer objective diameter and the ring height in mm to avoid mounting the optic higher than needed.
Rail fit: Weaver & Picatinny. Not for 11/13 mm dovetail or proprietary bases unless using an adapter.
Ask if unsure on fit.
Ring Height 40mm - These are high even for highs. See below for sizing info

Key height factors
What matters most is your scope’s outer objective diameter and how it relates to the ring height in millimetres (base-to-bottom or base-to-centre), together with whether your rail/base is flat or raised. Plus, in the case of very high mounts like these, your rig set up features and shooting position preferences.
Doing this lets us determine if there will be enough clearance for the objective housing to clear the gun body - and by how much. Do not rely on “low / medium / high” labels. These are not standardised and often lead to buying error.
Example
Take a typical “50mm lens scope” 50mmm refers to the lens diameter, not the outer housing. The outer housing is typically ~56–64 mm depending on whether or not the scope has an adjustable objective (AO) housing. AO cases add extra mm.
These mounts measure 40mm base to center. On a flat base, the maximum scope outer case diameter will be 78mm. (40 x 2 = 80. Minus 2mm to give a little space to stop vibration scope-gun body contact) If the gun has a raised base then take this into account as it adds height and may allow use of a lower mount.
In our example, these mounts are more then enough, they will fit very large objective scopes even with caps fitted. So choice is more about if they are too high rather than high enough.
Please ask if unsure on any aspect of fit and suitability.

Q: Will these fit Picatinny rails?
Yes — Weaver-spec mounts fit Picatinny rails because Weaver cross bolts are narrower than Picatinny slots. These rings mount securely on both Weaver and Picatinny.
Q: Will these fit 11 mm or 13 mm dovetail rails, or proprietary bases?
No — these are not compatible with 11 mm or 13 mm dovetail rails, or proprietary bases (e.g., Tikka, Remington, CZ patterns) unless an adapter is used. Ask if unsure and we can recommend the correct adapter.
Q: What does “High profile” mean here?
A: High profile positions the scope higher to provide additional clearance for larger objective housings, raised rails, or stepped bases. Always confirm fit using the scope’s outer objective diameter and the ring height in mm to avoid mounting the optic higher than needed.
Q: Should I rely on “low / medium / high” labels?
No — these labels are not standardised between brands. Always use the actual height in mm and compare it to your scope’s outer objective diameter and rail height for clearance.
Q: What size scopes will these rings accommodate?
These rings are designed for standard 34 mm tube scopes. Always ensure your scope tube diameter is 34 mm before choosing this set.
