How portable and easy to carry is the Nocpix Lumi L19?
The Lumi L19 is built with an ultra-compact, "extreme pocket-size" design that is actually smaller than most standard smartphones. Weighing only about 11 ounces (approx. 315–345g), it is highly ergonomic and can easily be slipped into a jacket pocket or stored in its included MOLLE compatible pouch while you are on the move.
What kind of battery does it use, and can it be swapped in the dark?
The monocular is powered by a standard, widely available 18650 rechargeable battery. A major advantage of the Lumi series is its reverse polarity power system; you can insert the battery in either direction (positive or negative end first) and the device will operate perfectly. This removes the frustration of trying to orient the battery correctly when changing it in complete darkness.
Will operating the buttons spook wildlife or game?
No. The device features "ultimate silent buttons" that are specifically designed to have a completely quiet, tactile press. This ensures you can change color palettes, zoom, or start recording without making any clicking noises that could startle animals at close range.
Does using the monocular for extended periods cause eye strain?
To prevent the common issue known as "thermal eyes" (eye fatigue caused by staring at bright thermal screens in the dark), the Lumi L19 comes with a variety of color palettes. Among these are specialized red and green palettes engineered to reduce eye strain, allowing for much more comfortable viewing during long tracking or observation sessions.
Can I record video or take photos directly on the unit?
Yes. The Lumi L19 features built-in photo and video recording, which also includes an onboard microphone to capture audio from your environment. It comes with 32GB of internal storage, giving you plenty of space to save your field footage before transferring it to a phone or computer.
Can the controls be customized to suit my preferences?
Yes, the device offers great flexibility. By connecting the monocular to the dedicated Nocpix mobile app, you can customize and remap the physical button functions to better fit your personal handling habits, making it highly accommodating for both left and right handed users.
How does the body handle harsh weather and cold temperatures?
The Lumi L19 features an IP67 dustproof and waterproof rating, meaning it can easily handle rain, mud, and accidental splashes. Furthermore, the exterior is wrapped in a weatherproof, rubberized texture. This not only enhances your grip in wet conditions but also ensures the housing doesn't feel freezing or unpleasant to hold with bare hands in icy weather.

We use DPD, Royal Mail, TNT, and UPS courier services for all our UK and international orders. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with your unique tracking number.
In-Store Items
These are items we have in stock and aim to dispatch within 1–2 working days. During busy periods, this may be delayed slightly. If you'd prefer to collect your item in person, please contact us in advance to arrange. Collection orders must be paid for beforehand.
Pre-Order Items
Pre-order items are typically out-of-stock or in limited supply. Purchasing a pre-order secures your item, and it will be dispatched within 24 hours of restock where possible. Check the product page for estimated restock dates. These dates may change, so staying in touch is advised.
International Delivery & Taxes
If your shipping address is outside the UK, you may incur import duties or taxes upon arrival in your country. These charges are your responsibility. Customs regulations vary, so please check with your local customs office. Some packages may be opened for inspection.

DPD Shipments & PIN Code Delivery
We have now introduced DPD Pin Code verification for all orders shipped via DPD. You will receive a PIN via email and text.
A valid email and mobile number must be provided at checkout. Emails will come from Riviera House 3PL. Please check spam/junk folders if not received.
