Q1: Is a 4–24× range really useful in real‑world shooting?
Yes. At the low end you retain quick target acquisition; as the range opens you still have the clarity, magnification and premium optics to engage further. It’s ideal for mixed use: stalking, competition or field‑shooting.
Q2: What does “FFP” mean and how does it affect use?
In a First Focal Plane (FFP) scope, the reticle scales with magnification. That means your holdover reference remains accurate at any zoom. See the block below for detailed comparison with SFP.
Q3: Will the 56 mm objective make the scope too bulky or heavy?
While larger glass does add size and weight compared to smaller models, the benefit is better low‑light performance and image clarity. If your rifle build supports it, this objective size is a real asset.
Q4: Why only a red‑illumination reticle?
Red illumination is clear, easily visible in a wide range of conditions (especially dawn/dusk or shaded terrain). The 6‑level setting allows fine adjustment to avoid glare or wash‑out.
FFP vs SFP – What to Know About Reticle Visibility
Important: In First Focal Plane (FFP) scopes the reticle shrinks at low magnification and grows as you zoom in. This enables accurate hold‑over and windage reference at any zoom level — ideal for precision shooting.
However, it means at lower magnification the reticle can appear relatively fine and may be harder to pick up in dark, cluttered or shaded backgrounds. If you frequently shoot at low magnification and rely on bold aiming marks, a Second Focal Plane (SFP) reticle might suit you better.
In short:

Tip: Choose FFP if you’re scaling zoom and using hold points; choose SFP if you mostly operate at a single zoom and prioritise visibility at low power.

We have now introduced DPD Pin Code verification for all orders shipped via DPD. You will receive a PIN via email and text.
