Work Sharp Precision Adjust Sharpener E/F/G
You don't need years of experience to sharpen like a pro. This intuitive system was designed for anyone who wants a perfect edge without the steep learning curve. From the secure clamp that protects your blade to the easy-to-rotate sharpening surfaces, every part of the process is smooth and controlled. Just set your angle, follow the guide, and watch your dullest knives become your sharpest tools in minutes.
The WORK SHARP PRECISION ADJUST SHARPENER is a user-friendly benchtop sharpening system designed to deliver consistently sharp results without complexity or high cost. Ideal for everyday use, it features an adjustable angle range from 15° to 30°, allowing you to achieve the perfect edge profile for a wide variety of knives. Simply secure your blade, set the angle, and restore sharpness with confidence.
At the heart of the system is the Tri-Brasive® rotating handle, which cycles through coarse and fine diamond plates along with a fine ceramic stone for efficient sharpening and refining. This intuitive design makes it easy to progress through each stage, ensuring a clean and precise edge every time.
For added stability and safety, the sharpener includes a V-block clamp that securely holds different blade shapes in place, while the angle setting dial locks your chosen angle instantly for repeatable results. Compact, effective, and easy to use, the Precision Adjust™ is a reliable solution for keeping your knives in peak condition.

Do I need to use oil or water with the sharpening stones?
No. This is a dry sharpening system. Using oil or water can actually gum up the diamond plates and ceramic rod. If the stones become clogged with metal shavings over time, you can simply clean them with a dry nylon brush or a damp cloth and mild soap.
Will the clamp scratch my knife blade?
The "V-Block Clamp" is designed with a rubberized lining on the inside of the jaws. This provides a secure grip while protecting the finish of your blade from scratches or marring during the sharpening process.
Can I sharpen serrated knives with this system?
While the flat diamond plates are designed for straight edges, you can use the ceramic rod portion of the Tri Brasive handle to hone serrations. However, because it is a fixed-angle system, it is primarily optimized for standard straight-edge pocket and kitchen knives.
How do I know which angle to use for my specific knife?
If you aren't sure of the factory angle, a common trick is the "Sharpie Method." Color the beveled edge of your knife with a black marker and take a light pass with the stone. If the marker is removed only at the very edge, the angle is too steep; if it’s removed only at the top of the bevel, the angle is too shallow. Adjust the dial until the stone removes the marker evenly across the entire bevel.
Is it normal for the clamp to flex slightly while sharpening?
A small amount of movement is normal for a plastic body guided system. To get the most consistent edge, it is recommended to use very light pressure let the weight of the sharpening rod and the grit of the stones do the work rather than pushing down.
Can I sharpen very small or very large knives?
The system is highly versatile, but there are practical limits. Very small "keychain" knives may be difficult to clamp securely, while extremely long blades (like a machete) might require you to reposition the knife in the clamp halfway through to maintain a consistent angle at the tip.
How do I switch sides without taking the knife out?
The Precision Adjust features a "360-degree" rotation design. You simply press a button on the back of the chassis, and the entire clamp module flips 180 degrees. This allows you to sharpen both sides of the blade without ever having to unclamp the knife, ensuring your angle remains identical on both sides
What should I do if the stones wear out?
The Tri Brasive handle is designed so that the individual abrasive components can be replaced. You don’t need to buy a whole new sharpening system; you can simply purchase replacement grit kits when the diamond plates eventually lose their effectiveness.
Can I achieve a mirror-polish finish with the standard kit?
The standard kit includes grits up to a fine ceramic, which leaves a very clean, "toothy" sharp edge. For a true mirror polish, Work Sharp offers an "Upgrade Kit" (sold separately or as part of the Elite model) that includes higher grit diamond plates and a leather strop.
