Hawke Precision Steel 1" 2‑Piece High Weaver & Picatinny Scope Mount Rings are robust, precision‑engineered mounts designed to securely attach 1" tube scopes to Weaver or Picatinny rails.
Built from rugged steel with high‑profile quick‑release clamps, this two‑piece set provides a stable platform that positions your optic higher above the bore line where extra clearance is needed, while still allowing tool‑free removal and refitting.
Is High Profile right for you?
High profile is useful when you need added clearance for larger objective housings, raised rails, or stepped bases. Choose by measurements (objective outer diameter + ring height in mm), not labels alone.
Rail fit: Weaver & Picatinny. Not for 11/13 mm dovetail or proprietary bases unless using an adapter.
Ask if unsure on fit.
Ring Height 27mm = x2 and minus couple mm to get scope objective maximum outer case diameter for clerance on a flat base, therefore: 27x2 = 54 -2 = 52mm - Raised base will obviously affect this.
Key height factor
What matters most is your scope’s outer objective diameter and how it related to the ring height in millimetres (base-to-bottom or base-to-centre), together with whether your rail/base is flat or raised
These measurements tell you how high the scope will sit above the base and whether you’ll have enough clearance without mounting the scope unnecessarily high or so low that it touches the barrel or guard (very bad = returns)
For example, a “40 mm scope” refers to the lens diameter, not the outer housing. The outer housing is typically ~45–54 mm depending on whether the scope has an adjustable objective (AO) housing.
On a flat rail/base, the combination of rail height and ring height must give enough clearance for the objective housing. Checking your rail height and ring height in mm helps avoid relying on “low / medium / high” labels, which are not standardised across brands.
Example
In the case of this model with 27mm base to center = on a flat base, maximum scope outer case diameter 52mm. Good for a non AO but to short for an AO - on a flat base - A perfect example of why you cannot go on height and lens size alone.

Q: Will these fit Picatinny rails?
Yes — Weaver-spec mounts fit Picatinny rails because Weaver cross bolts are narrower than Picatinny slots. These rings mount securely on both Weaver and Picatinny.
Q: Will these fit 11 mm or 13 mm dovetail rails, or proprietary bases?
No — these are not compatible with 11 mm or 13 mm dovetail rails, or proprietary bases (e.g., Tikka, Remington, CZ patterns) unless an adapter is used. Ask if unsure and we can recommend the correct adapter.
Q: What does “high profile” mean here?
A: High profile positions the scope higher to provide additional clearance for larger objective housings, raised rails, or stepped bases. Always confirm fit using the scope’s outer objective diameter and the ring height in mm to avoid mounting the optic higher than needed.

We use DPD, Royal Mail, TNT, and UPS courier services for all our UK and international orders. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with your unique tracking number.

Pre-Order Items
Pre-order items are typically out-of-stock or in limited supply. Purchasing a pre-order secures your item, and it will be dispatched within 24 hours of restock where possible. Check the product page for estimated restock dates. These dates may change, so staying in touch is advised.
International Delivery & Taxes
If your shipping address is outside the UK, you may incur import duties or taxes upon arrival in your country. These charges are your responsibility. Customs regulations vary, so please check with your local customs office. Some packages may be opened for inspection.

DPD Shipments & PIN Code Delivery
We have now introduced DPD Pin Code verification for all orders shipped via DPD. You will receive a PIN via email and text.
