Hawke Precision Steel 1" 2‑Piece Medium Weaver & Picatinny Scope Mount Rings are precision‑engineered steel mounts for secure attachment of 1" tube scopes to Weaver or Picatinny rails.
The medium profile offers a practical balance between keeping the optic low and providing extra clearance where needed. Hex‑bolt clamping provides secure torque and stable zero retention for repeated range use.
Choose by measurements (objective outer diameter + ring height in mm), not height labels alone.
Rail fit: Weaver & Picatinny. Not for 11/13 mm dovetail or proprietary bases unless using an adapter.
Ring Height 22mm = On a flat base, allows for a scope with Objective lens "OUTER" case diameter of 42mm: > 22 x 2 = 44mm. Minus 2mm to allow for recoil vibration. A raised base obviously will change this so it is only a guide.
Key height factors
What matters most is your scope’s outer objective diameter and how it relates to the ring height in millimetres (base-to-bottom or base-to-centre), together with whether your rail/base is flat or raised.
Doing this lets us determine if there will be enough clearance for the objective housing to clear the gun body - and by how much. Do not rely on “low / medium / high” labels. These are not standardised and often lead to buying error.
Example
Take a typical “40mm lens scope” 40mmm refers to the lens diameter, not the outer housing. The outer housing is typically ~45–54 mm depending on whether or not the scope has an adjustable objective (AO) housing. AO cases add extra mm.
These mounts measure 22mm base to center. On a flat base, the maximum scope outer case diameter will be 42mm. (22 x 2 = 44. Minus 2mm to give a little space to stop vibration scope-gun body contact) If the gun has a raised base then take this into account as it adds height and may allow use of a lower mount.
In our example, they will be toolow for the scope unless base raised or risers used.

Q: Will these fit Picatinny rails?
Yes — Weaver-spec mounts fit Picatinny rails because Weaver cross bolts are narrower than Picatinny slots. These rings mount securely on both Weaver and Picatinny.
Q: Will these fit 11 mm or 13 mm dovetail rails, or proprietary bases?
No — these are not compatible with 11 mm or 13 mm dovetail rails, or proprietary bases (e.g., Tikka, Remington, CZ patterns) unless an adapter is used. Ask if unsure and we can recommend the correct adapter.
Q: What does “medium profile” mean here?

Couriers
We use DPD, Royal Mail, TNT, and UPS courier services for all our UK and international orders. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email with your unique tracking number.
In-Store Items
These are items we have in stock and aim to dispatch within 1–2 working days. During busy periods, this may be delayed slightly. If you'd prefer to collect your item in person, please contact us in advance to arrange. Collection orders must be paid for beforehand.
Pre-Order Items
Pre-order items are typically out-of-stock or in limited supply. Purchasing a pre-order secures your item, and it will be dispatched within 24 hours of restock where possible. Check the product page for estimated restock dates. These dates may change, so staying in touch is advised.
International Delivery & Taxes
If your shipping address is outside the UK, you may incur import duties or taxes upon arrival in your country. These charges are your responsibility. Customs regulations vary, so please check with your local customs office. Some packages may be opened for inspection.

DPD Shipments & PIN Code Delivery
We have now introduced DPD Pin Code verification for all orders shipped via DPD. You will receive a PIN via email and text.
